During the fourth quarter of 2024, the top five horror games on the unified platform in South Africa showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Granny experienced a notable increase in downloads, beginning at around 7.9K in early October and rising to approximately 13.3K by the end of December. Active users followed a similar upward trend, starting at 22.2K and reaching 30K by the close of the quarter.

Granny 3 also saw growth in downloads, starting from 6.5K and increasing to about 11.1K. The number of active users mirrored this growth, beginning at 22.4K and peaking at 31.8K.

Granny: Chapter Two had a steady rise in downloads from 2.4K to 4.1K. Active users increased from 9.6K to nearly 12K by the end of the quarter.

Hide in The Backrooms: Horror had a decrease in downloads from 2.4K to 1.1K. However, active users rose from 24.7K to over 29K by the end of December.
